The Missouri Tigers won their seventh consecutive game, but Tennessee remained undefeated and Missouri State was still the biggest winner in college football this weekend with a 45-10 victory over Tennessee.
Toledo and Missouri played to a tiebreaking score in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers held on and earned the win on a two-point conversion attempt by junior quarterback Jake Fromm.
Tulane finished with four field goals for a season-high 32 points and ran for 119 yards.
Tennessee finished with just nine points.
Fromm completed 11 of 21 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
The Volunteers are 6-0 against the Tigers.
The Tigers improved to 2-0 when winning in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Tenn State’s offense also added two touchdowns to a season high on a punt return.
The offense has scored a season low of 24 points against Missouri State this season.
The Volunteers will try to keep the momentum going Saturday night when they host Missouri State at 8:30 p.m.
