The Trump administration has made visa applications for Mexico more difficult, making it more expensive for those seeking to travel there, as well as limiting access to the country for international travelers.
The Trump administration also increased the cost of Mexico’s entry into the World Trade Organization, a move that would effectively cut off access to Mexico for international trade, business and tourism.
A new round of border restrictions also have made it more difficult for Americans who have a valid visa to enter Mexico, according to a report by the Migration Policy Institute.
It’s unclear if these visa changes will have any effect on the number of visa applicants or visitors to Mexico.
Mexico has seen an increase in applications and visitors to the U.S. in recent years, particularly after President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
