Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović said on Friday that Croatia is “not prepared to accept migrants entering through the Croatian border.”
“The Croatian government does not accept migrants from the country of Croatia entering into Croatia.
We do not accept the entry of migrants,” Grabar, a former prime minister, said in a televised speech.
“The entry of people from outside the EU is forbidden,” she said.
Grabar added that Croatia will not accept any migrants from Albania, Croatia or Macedonia, and said that the European Union’s external border controls will be maintained.
