We spent 3 days in Catba Island with a lot of activites & experience.
On the first day, we decide a responsible movement by a good comfortable public bus to Haiphong. On the same brand, they provide us the whole services transfer from Hanoi to Catba Insland (bus & speedboat)
We arrive at Cat Ba homestay. This is a beautiful ancient house set in a green lush garden. We are warmly welcomed by our hosts and can refresh and have a cup of tea while our lunch is getting prepared.
In the afternoon, We propose to go first for the visit of a very particular cave that served as a secret hospital during the war. We then climb to the top of Canon Fort and make sure we are up there for the sunset, stunning views on the archipelago. When it gets darker we walk down to Beo pier where we will have dinner on a floating restaurant. After dinner, we drive back to the homestay, relax, rest and dream about tomorrow.
On the second day, we spend whole day to be out of the land. We will check in one the fishing boat, tranfering us to Viethai Village to have lunch in Whishper Nature homestay. After that we ride a bike back to the Viethai pier to go to three-cave area, where we spent time for kayaking. After 2 hours, the boat reaches its anchorage area, a quiet fjord of Lan Ha Bay. Dinner and overnight on boat.
On the last day, we was running out of energy to continue kayaking activity on the morning. Instead of that, we moving back to the center of Catba town & walk around to enjoy the lifestyle of local people in Catba. We finish the last meal on the homestay in Catba & coming back to Hanoi at 5:30 pm.
